6 Hard truth security experts must learn to
It seems that this is not enough, the speed of quantum computing is very fast, bringing new security risks. Chris Dimitriadis, chief global strategy officer at Isaca, said: “Given the recent advances in quantum, we can expect quantum computing to exist in our everyday platforms and processes in the next few years. While this will bring great innovation opportunities in multiple industries to use, making simple services useless.”
What you can do: The organization needs to start preparing immediately. Hackers have been involved in so-called “Get Now, Decrypt” attacks in which they later stole encrypted data for quantum decryption. Employees need to train AI and quantum. Security executives need to develop and implement policies, place guardrails in place, and deploy appropriate tools to ensure they are ready for these new types of threats.
No matter how good you are, your organization will be hurt
It’s hard to swallow, but if we take “five sad phases” to address cybersecurity, it’s better to reach a level of “acceptance” than to keep denial because many of the things that happen are just out of control.
