Do you accept it? Lots of notes? Whether it’s a daily to-do list, class notes, or just taking down various thoughts in our brains, it’s great to write everything down somewhere. Of course, you can open the Notes app, but writing something on your body can help you remember and learn more. It feels nice to stop typing for a minute and get simulation, while still storing it. There are E-ink tablets, smart pens and laptops to save digital files for handwritten notes or drawings. You can save the file as PDF, images, and Word Docs, or transcribe it into a text file in Google Docs to make all your notes searchable. Some of these devices can also be recorded, which is perfect for lectures and interviews. Our favorite model is the ReMarkable 2 ($399), which has a fantastic screen and paper-like experience, plus a nice range of accessories (including a keyboard folio ($199) if you want the option to type!) My personal favorite is the Amazon Kindle Scribe ($400), which has a great battery life and works well for readers and casual note-takers who don’t need a ton of cloud support or capabilities.

Some prices rose in this category after tariffs led to a rise in technology prices. Our favorite tablets won’t rise until May 28, so if you want a great tablet, it’s time to shop. We’re up less than $50 from the runner-up in Super Note, and Kobo also slightly raises the price, although the $10 increase is pretty small compared to the other growth you’ve seen.
