Embed Bitcoin anywhere

Last week, Breez Tech announced support for its unpaced Breez SDK from WebAssembly (WASM). They had to redesign many parts of the SDK to make bitcoin and lightning in the browser, enabling new ways to get blockchain data, process databases in memory, handle DNS resolution, interact with file systems on different platforms, and more.
Lightning-enabled wallets or apps can now run entirely within the browser.
I’m sure many of you immediately cringe and think about security issues, and I’ll be the first to say that storing any material amount or most of your wealth in this way is crazy, but some parts of everyone’s stack actually need to be available.
The future of Bitcoin as a true currency network is not to have a million different applications and devices, but to look around for the right currency network, depending on what you are trying to do or the transaction you are going to make. What you want to save, your spending has room, but when it comes to interoperability, it is more complicated for your average person.
Saving can bring some complexity and friction, but when it comes to actual use of Bitcoin, it needs to be seamless and embedded everywhere. If Bitcoin will be the future of money, then it actually needs to be intuitive, flexible, Feel Like the future.
People seek convenience in everything, and money is no exception. We can’t expect your average person to spend 20 hours researching different devices, testing different applications and wallets, and then ending up spreading their funds across six applications and hardware.
People need to be able to open any device, any app, and have access to any bitcoin they can use to spend. That itself won’t happen magically. This requires work. This requires collaboration on standards. This requires engineering work and it won’t attract attention.
From the perspective of doing this kind of work, Breez will definitely kill it. Other examples are BDK and LDK, BDK and LDK from Spiral, libraries for building applications or integrating Bitcoin and Lightning into existing applications. NOSTR Wallet Connect (NWC) is another example of the interoperability standard. The PSBT standard in Ava Chow’s Bip 174 is another. We need this kind of energy and direction significant amplification.
If people face fragmented landscapes of different walled gardens, or use different tools inconveniently to rub together, Bitcoin will not be able to successfully adopt them.
Bitcoin needs to be embedded seamlessly, seamlessly.
