At Tokyo Disneyland, I discovered a new collection obsession

We have so much Disney stuff. In our home, the entire room is dedicated to Disney posters and souvenirs. In other rooms we have dedicated shelves Star Wars The edge of the galaxy, Robin Hood, Toy Story, And more. Too many. So when we finally visited Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo Disneyland in Japan, we knew we had to buy it easily.
But then I saw it.
Leaving Disneysea Indiana Jones Cycling (like Disneyland, except Crystal skull With the theme), I noticed that they were selling small matchbox-sized replicas of ride-hailing vehicles. I must have. It’s small, themed on something I like, and specific to something specific. That’s the key. It’s not just some Indiana Jones– Theme shirt, yes this ride. I hid it.
After a few rides, I realized that it was amazing freezing I just left the bike with a mini bike. and Peter Pan ride. At the end of the day, I was holding eight new rides in my backpack. The next day, at Tokyo Disneyland, the purchase lasted, and by the end of the trip, I bought 12 cars for about $15.
(At the highest level, you have it from left to right Haunted Mansion, Indiana Jones and Beauty and beasts, frozen and Peter Panand 20,000 leagues under the sea and Jungle cruise. At the bottom, you have soarin’resort monorail and water autopia,,,,, A happy journey With Baymaxand Toy Story Mania)
The vehicles were made by a company called Tomica, which since 2001 Wiki said they have been working with Disney. So, this is not the first person I’ve discovered this. They have been around for decades. But size, specialization and particularity are just talking to me. Plus, due to their size, I know I can easily find places that can be displayed in our very, very Disney houses.
But I have to set limits. The important part of my purchase is selectivity. I didn’t buy anything. I am buying a vehicle that I actually ride and I really like to ride. While I certainly bought a lot, there is a display in a store at Disneyland Tokyo that seems to be every car currently available. There are more than 12.

You may notice a famous bike that isn’t there: from Celebrity Journey. When I started buying these, one of my first thoughts was: “There is one Celebrity Journey? ” Then, I checked it out on the ride and in the park, but at least not. Celebrity Journey Maybe, I will buy it later.
However, the later date almost happened. Later, during our trip to Japan, I found myself in a geek sacred place called Nakano Broadway. A few minutes outside Tokyo, this four-story shopping mall is filled with all kinds of geek merchandise, and you may spend a few days getting lost in its store. Once, I walked into a store and saw that I thought it was Celebrity Journey I pursue riding. However, this one looks a little different, with a sign about “330” next to it. I asked the staff for more information.
As it turns out, this particular piece is not 330 yen, nor is it 3300 yen. That’s 330,000 yen, and the United States is equivalent to about $2,300. According to the translation of the logo, this is some discontinued version of the vehicle, which is obviously very rare and valuable. “Do you still want it?” she asked. The answer is certainly yes, but I can’t afford it, so I said, “No, thank you.” She then picked up the sign and wrote it on it, which shows that the cost of the work is clearer.
But that moment. Within two minutes before realizing the expensiveness of that piece, I also knew it would be more expensive than the ones in the park, and I was ready. If it’s $200 or something, I’ll pull the trigger. I’m on vacation! I want Celebrity Journey For my collection! Of course, I didn’t buy it, but I did realize that I’ve officially added the mini ride to my obsession.
