Bitcoin Core Developer Sjors Provoost: Bitcoin Core Project

At last month’s MIT Bitcoin Expo, I was able to sit down with Sjors Provoost, a Bitcoin core developer.

Sjors is a physicist who turns into a Bitcoin developer, believing it or not, it is actually a very common phenomenon. He began contributing to Bitcoin Core in 2017, a very turbulent period during which the activation of quarantine witnesses activated Softfork and the New York Agreement with users at the climax of the block-sized war.

So does he Bitcoin, explaineda podcast completed with Bitcoin Magazine’s current editor Aaron Van Wirdum. He also wrote this book recently Bitcoin: Work ongoingexplains the technical aspects of Bitcoin. Each chapter is paired with an episode of the podcast.

We discussed the Bitcoin core project itself. It’s organized, the feeling of working, and some of the challenges that may be encountered for those who contribute directly to the Bitcoin core itself.
