Cardano founder confirms XRP integration, frustrated by ChainLink

Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson used the closing ceremony of an extensive “Ask-me anding” meeting on Wednesday, giving the community a detailed view of negotiations on two long-running alliances that are often more speculative than material: a multiple collaboration with Ripple’s XRP Ecosystem and Oracle with Chainlink.
Hoskinson responded to an audience member who asked, “Are Charles still discussing the Ripple and Chainlink partnership?”, which clearly shows that progress is already unbalanced. He said: “Rubber, yes. We’re working on it.”
XRP integration has made progress
On Ripple, Hoskinson sounds optimistic, describing a concrete roadmap that spans from local wallets to token distribution, as well as Ripple’s new role in the upcoming Rlusd Stablecoin. He confirmed that “we will add XRP support for lace, so if you are an XRP user, you can put XRP in your lace wallet”, referring to the IOG flagship light wallet that IOG launched last year.
He went further, noting that “XRP will be part of midnight airdrop”, the privacy-focused Sidechain announced by Input Outper Global. Even the stable guys are on the table: “We’re having a conversation with Rlusd, so I mean, uh, that’s the same,” he said, suggesting that Cardano infrastructure might support Ripple’s Fiat Pegggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggg
Hoskinson attributes the new momentum to the personal rapport of Ripple’s technical brain trust. “David Schwarz just invited me to speak at one of their meetings, and we were on good terms.”
The founder also revealed “flare” [Network] People wanted to go to Cardano with us and stressed that the partnership has expanded the volatility and expanded the entire XRP Ledger ecosystem.
Chain link progress is still stuck
When Hoskinson talked about ChainLink, the conversation took a different turn. Despite his emphasis on the relationship is still very friendly – “I have [Sergey] Nazarov’s private number…we met, we were like, “Yes, we need to work together” – the essence of the collaboration is still in trouble.
Chainlink “puts us on the integration list” and migrates to “some new frameworks, like new frameworks that do these integrations with Coinbase.” The result is a moving goal: “For some reason, it’s always like three to six months.”
Hoskinson refuted the notion that any delay originated in politics or money. “No one interpersonal problem…no one has an integral part of economic problems,” he insisted. Instead, he pointed to Chainlink’s forked codebase – “They have a legacy way of doing it.” [and] They are moving towards a new way.
Even if it is hard, there is no process of forcing the entire finish line. “No matter how many people I throw… it’s not over for some reason,” he admits Cardano is “a bit like this unmanned land” as he waits for Chainlink’s next-generation tools to stabilize.
Despite his frustration, Hoskinson reiterated his desire for Chainlink to be the premier Oracle on Cardano, although he added: “There is still Python.” [Network] Then there are flares and other people in the game.
At press time, the ADA traded at $0.72.
