DC and Marvel smashed Batman and Deadpool together

It may never happen on the big screen, but in the comic shop, Marvel and DC are ready to work together again. The two largest comics companies have just announced that their two most popular characters, Batman and Deadpool, will be scattered on the Splash Page later this year.

Entertainment Weekly breaks the cross-border news, which is mainly composed of two separate single comics. On the Marvel side, Zeb Wells (Deadpool and Wolverine) is writing Deadpool/Batman Art and cover with Greg Capullo (Wolverine: Revenge) will be released on September 17. On DC, Grant Morrison (All-Star Superman) is writing Batman/Deadpool Art with Dan MoraBatman/Superman), will be published in November. Marvel Comics will tell a story about Wade Wilson working in Gotham City, which is not good for Batman. DC won’t tell what its story is, but apart from these shots, both reveal other “backup adventures” and other “exciting Marvel and DC character showdowns.” However, all of this is wrapped, and the same goes for another set of crossovers in 2026.

“I haven’t done a lot of comics these days, but I can’t refuse the opportunity to work with Dan Mora, one of my favorite art collaborators of all time, and absolutely can’t refuse Batman and Deadpool!” Grant Morrison said in a statement to EW. “Expect the fourth fireplace, the owl, the blood, the blade and at least one giant typewriter!”

“writing Amazing Spider-Man For the 60th issue, I told Marvel that I needed a break,” Wells said. “Marvel told me that I could do that, or I could write a comic that was joined by Deadpool and Deadpool and Batman and the best Batman artists of our generation. I no longer need a break. In Batman, we find someone who has less time to go to Deadpool’s antics than Wolverine, but the city-wide threat of the Joker makes the weird bedman (literally, if Deadpool has its own way). It was an explosion that relaxed Gotham City Deadpool and watched what happened. ”

For those who want to know, this isn’t something like Marvel and DC are fighting for, it’s been over 20 years and it’s seen Spider-Man and Superman, as well as Justice League and the Avengers. The iconic artist Jim Lee explains in DC’s CCO and publisher why it took so long to do it again.

“This time is every generation of readers.” I will let you draw your own conclusions. The timing has to be right because you don’t want to do it often. You want them to feel special. It’s a bit of a discovery that both companies can unite because it’s complicated. More coordination, collaboration and approval must be completed. And, obviously, from the business side, you’re going to share revenue, but that’s going to be a big deal. So you want this story to keep it all creatively. ”

Here are two covers of the comic, and you can read more on EW. Are you happy to check it out? Do you think this might happen on the big screen?
