Five teenagers, a coastal car accident and attempted cover-up are the familiar starting points to come I know what you did last summer The latest version of the franchise (moving from the boring TV series) is not only restarting – it is a sequel with some familiar faces.

On the masked trailer, the hook-waving antagonist is back in another murderous craze in Southport, but this time the guilty teenagers may at least get some help from the survivors of the 1997 massacre, Jennifer Love Hewitt and Freddie Prinze Jr.

Madelyn Cline, Sarah Pidgeon, Tyriq Withers, Jonah Hauer-King and Chase Sui Wonders also starred.
