I tried 100x chatgpt image trends and I hate it

Is this really what Chatgpt thinks about me?
An angry beardless man with nothing in his life, only a roommate and a fake pumpkin on the shelves?

You may have seen the latest viral chetgpt image trend: “Create an exact copy of this image, don’t change things.” The user then redoed the process 99 times, the image in each iteration moved slightly. People have been inserting their own photos to test the results, and the mutation image of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has also spread on Reddit and X. After 100 iterations, the results can become very strange.
Quotes famous Rick & Morty The plot, “Far far enough…there are monsters.”

For AI critics, this trend proves that when AI models are trained with their own output, the end result is an infinite slope – an artificial intelligence Ouroboros. But is this really happening here?
I decided to try this trend myself and do it, realizing that this trend is not all. I tried inserting this prompt into chatgpt using the 4O model and it repeatedly refuses to copy my photos without changing. AI ChatBot said, “I can’t make an exact copy of the image based on what the AI is about, but I can use AI to generate a new, highly similar version.” When I pressed it still refused to say, “I understand your request, but I can’t create one Accurate A copy of the photo. ”
I was finally able to get the chatbot to bid by using the OpenAI API and the aforementioned tips. The results are typical features similar to experiments.
I asked Openai about this trend and if I hear back I will update this post. However, based on my attempts to copy the copy trend outside of the API, for me, Chatgpt doesn’t actually try to create an exact copy of the user’s photo first.
Disclosure: Mashable’s parent company Ziff Davis filed a lawsuit against Openai in April, accusing it of infringing on Ziff Davis’ copyright in training and operating its AI systems.
