In a conversation with Deadline, Daniel Weyman (Gandalf) and Charlie Vickers (Sauron) discuss how next season can be a major role for their later legends. For Gandalf, Weiman laughed at it involving a lot of “tears” and went on to say, “I’m excited about the many possible pitfalls, mistakes and failures that young Gandalf might learn. Literally, anything could happen. Take action so that we can see him develop and learn how he becomes the wizard we all love.”
Vickers jumped and described how Sauron was rejected by Galadriel but was ready to seek power alone. “I’m very lucky that Sauron was perfect for what he did during this period. We can go through a lot of exciting paces and I think fans will be excited to see it. I mean, he’s making almost all the rings now, but he has one more of him [needs] To complete the collection he identified and determined in his mind for hundreds of years. So I’m glad to see him keep moving forward and hope to take over the Middle World…I’m sure everything will be great for everyone else. ”
