Technics eah-az100 earbuds review: smaller size, better sound

Technics is not slacking off in the functional department, and the latest pair offers almost every modern feature you want. You’ll find all the basics like auto-set sensors, multiple EQs, Google Fast Pair, and Earbuds Finder, and use customization in the Technics App. In fact, almost everything is customizable, making almost blinding options that are almost dazzling. If there is something you don’t like, from the way Buds Relay Video Sync to how your voice is on the call, it may be adjusted.
Not everything is as cost-effective as Apple’s Airpods Pro, the software leader in the field. For example, the AZ100’s call suppression does a great job of killing ambient noise around the sound (even the sound on the other end), but it makes you sound a bit sterile and robotic in the process. The app itself sometimes refuses to load, forcing me to refresh it, although it is stable.

Multitaskers will be pleased to see the return of the multi-point pairing of three devices, allowing you to easily exchange via Bluetooth between your computer, tablet and phone without brand loyalty. Speaking of Bluetooth, you can get support not only through regular codecs like AAC and LDAC for Bluetooth 5.3, but also with Bluetooth LE Audio, which should make the next generation of wireless streaming good.
The AZ100’s touch controls are responsive and customizable and comprehensive, with default options for playback, call, volume and ambient audio. The layout was a bit confusing at first, but I appreciate the ability to complete any task without having to grab the phone.
Velvet glitter
I often save the final sound performance, but the AZ100 sounds too good to stop any more. Like most high fidelity buds, they provide slow and steady revelations for their skills. The further you drill down, the better it sounds.
When I first fired them, I was surprised by the warmth and almost thick flavor of the sound signature, and seemed to rely more on bass and lower than expected midrange. That said, I usually prefer my high fidelity romance to the sharp and soft touch, and it’s soon to discover that the AZ100’s warm entrance is almost like a velvet backdrop, where the instrument texture and effect sparkle in light like jewelry.
