With the launch of Shibdao, the Shiba INU ecosystem has officially taken an important step in full decentralization. On May 29, 2025, Shibarium Update (@shibizens) announced through X that the long-awaited transition to community-driven governance has begun. With the control of the Shiba INU community, Shibdao’s goal is to eliminate centralized decision-making and directly empower those who directly empower Shiba Inu (Shib), bone (bone), belt (belt) and (therapeutic) tokens.
Shiba Inu’s next chapter
The announcement states: “Break: Shibdo formal life – community governance begins.” The launch of Shibdao opened the door to true decentralization in Shiba Inu’s vast ecosystem, providing community members with voting rights and direct impact on the future of the project.
The main features of Shibdao’s decentralized governance system include on-chain links, off-chain voting and delegation systems. The chain configuration feature introduced as Bury 2.0 allows users to place wet bones, bones, belts or treatment tokens for influence. The more interests a token user are, the longer the equity is maintained, the more voting rights accumulated, which can strengthen voice during the governance process. As of now, the current stage is only focused on governance participation.
Chain voting has been incorporated into the system through snapshots, where community members can propose changes and vote without incurring any gas charges. Real-time on-chain fixed data directly affects voting results, ensuring that voting rights are related to participants’ actual investment in the ecosystem.
@Shibizens announced: “Shibdao has been launched, marking an important step towards real decentralization across the Shib ecosystem. There are no more fall-out transactions – the system provides the voice and power to the community.”
For those who lack the time or tendency to vote directly, Shibdao provides a delegation system. This allows token holders to delegate their governance power to trusted community leaders and to withdraw their delegations at any time. This flexible system ensures that even those who are unable to actively participate can still influence the trajectory of the project through trusted representatives.
Additionally, Shibdao introduces the DAO factory, which enables users to launch their own decentralized autonomous organization (DAOS) within the Shiba INU ecosystem. This feature allows anyone to create DAOs for a variety of purposes, including gaming, art, decentralized finance (DEFI), or public goods, further dispersing the structure of the platform.
Currently, four different Daos operate in the Shiabon INU ecosystem: Shiba Inu Dao, the official hub for social governance, and Veshib Stakers hosts initiatives in community events, charities, UX, UX upgrades and public good funding. Second, there is bone DAO, focusing on the technological development of Shibarium, where Vebone Stakers oversee upgrades, contract changes, network improvements and technology integration.
Third, with belt-tug roads, acting as the judiciary in Shiberim, Veleash Stakers settle disputes, arbitrate conflicts and handle governance litigation. Finally, Treat Dao is committed to innovation, and Vetreat Stakers fund new products, DAPPs, research and business advice to drive expansion and innovation within the Shiba Inu ecosystem.
It is worth noting that Bury 2.0 Beta is currently living and active, and this is just the beginning of Shibdao’s journey into full decentralization.
