The best portable Bluetooth speakers of 2025

While we will never recommend its appearance to the speakers only, we do care about the speaker’s aesthetics. If you are working hard to decorate the space, you should get a speaker that will make its new home look better.
So for those who appreciate good design, we recommend the new Marshall Emberton III. Not only does this premium Bluetooth speaker have the iconic retro look of Marshall, it also has a high price tag.
No matter where we put the Emberton III – on the table, the middle of the coffee table, the bookshelf, and even the kitchen counter – immediately enhanced the atmosphere of the room. Honestly, because it looks great, we kind of doubted that it has a performance that matches its pretty face.
To our surprise, the speaker Have done it fulfill. Out of the box, it produces a clear and comprehensive sound. Despite its slightly slight bass mix, it makes Woozy’s “down” sound just as good as Billie Holiday’s “Solitude”. We want it to have a custom equalizer, but if you downloaded the companion app, you can choose between Marshall Prest (the speaker’s default sound), push presets that improve bass and treble, and mid-range voice presets that enhance voice-focused voice content. The presets sounded significantly different, and the audio devices we tested weren’t always the case. Unfortunately, we won’t recommend voice presets. Just like the podcast mode on Wonderboom 4, this setting makes the Podcast host sound less clear.
As for the features of the speech speaker, the lights indicate battery life, and both the power and Bluetooth buttons make the speaker ultrasound on and pair – we never had to spend more than 10 seconds connecting or switching between devices. Finally, the speaker also has a unique knob in the center to switch volume and song selection. This is good, but dial control may not be for everyone.
Marshall promises 32 hours of battery life with the speaker, and after several days of moderate to heavy use, the speaker still sits about 60% of its battery life. Using the app, you can also turn on the battery save feature to make charging as long as possible.
For only $169.99, it’s a nice, but not incredible speaker, but it not only makes up for the small drawbacks of its cool retro design. Its feature set and design were released in August 2024 and is no different from the Emberton II. So if you want to save some money, you can buy the Emberton II at a discount without sacrificing a lot of sound quality.
