Filmmaker Mike Flanagan has created quite a legacy for himself. However, even he has a love affair with a movie or a show Carrie, the dark towerand Batman, none of this he thought he would be remembered.
No, Flanagan thinks his next movie, Chuck’s Lifewill be that legacy. Or, at least that’s what he hoped. “I think very few works will surpass me in meaningful ways,” Flanagan wrote in an excerpt from an article published on social media. “You always hope that they will; we hope that when telling the stories we tell, we are planting a seed that will grow long after we disappear. I don’t know which of these seeds will take root with people, and introducing these issues is a crazy avenue. I feel quiet, humble confidence, a humble confidence. For those who may not know Chuck’s Life is based on the only short story by Stephen King. It tells the story of a person’s life (in this case, Chuck). Tom Hiddleston plays Chuck in some parts of the movie, and he joins him along with the likes of Chiwetel Ejiofor, Karen Gillan, Jacob Tremblay and Mark Hamill.
“Chuck’s Life My favorite movies at this moment are those I used to be in,” Flanagan, who adapted the script and director, continued. “I told people to start making, and this is the movie I want to leave for the kids. It is so rare to engage in something so meaningful, so unique, so unique and so serious. This is a story without cynical bones. What a rare and beautiful artistic moment. ”
The film won the very famous People’s Choice Award at last year’s Toronto Film Festival and will be released on June 6. Also, I have to say, I agree with Flanagan here.
