El Salvador Ministry of Education offers educational Bitcoin courses for young school students
El Salvador once again shows that it is leading the way with Bitcoin, this time starting with the next generation.
This week, the country’s Education and Bitcoin Office worked with Lina Seiche Hodler Jr. According to a press release sent to Bitcoin Magazine, the project announced it would launch a financial literacy program for school children aged 7 to 13. El Salvador will hold a launch event at its National Library at 4 p.m. ET.
The plan is titled “What is money?” It aims to introduce young El Salvadorians to basic financial literacy and concepts at early and critical stages of life. The pilot will launch fifty public schools across La Libertad, a coastal department that has been at the forefront of El Salvador’s Bitcoin adoption. Initially, about a thousand students will be involved to learn about the history of money, the differences between demand and demand, budget basis, savings and why Bitcoin represents groundbreaking financial innovation.
Lina Seiche, the creativity behind it Hodler Jr.developed colorful and fascinating educational materials specifically targeting young ideas. Education will begin in grades 2 to 3 and begin in the fourth, fifth and sixth grades in the next few years.
Each student will receive three hours of Bitcoin and finance education per week and will be seamlessly integrated into the National Social Studies course. The program is El Salvador Bitcoin Diploma Plans for senior students cubo+a scholarship-based university-level Bitcoin development program. The new program builds on the important foundations laid by organizations like Mi Primer Bitcoin, which has spent the past few years providing free bitcoin education to thousands of El Salvadors through its Bitcoin Diploma program.
El Salvador is expanding this vision with “What is money?” – reaching out to children even earlier and embeding Bitcoin literacy at the heart of its national education system. El Salvador has become the first country to fully embrace and adopt Bitcoin and has now further integrated Bitcoin into its education system.
The country has to adapt not only to the future, but also to lead it. Globally, it was a profound moment: the first true “Bitcoin Generation” was born. With more official Bitcoin education, El Salvador’s goal is to learn about their children’s success by teaching them to learn about their children in ways that most adults today have never had.
