“Tether will become the world’s largest bitcoin miner” said CEO Paolo Ardoino
Today, at the Bitcoin Conference in Las Vegas in 2025, the CEO of Tether Paolo Ardoino talked about Tether’s investment, invention and Bitcoin mining.
Paulo Ardoino started his speech, saying, “We made $13 billion in profits last year. So far, we have maintained a $120 billion explosion in the U.S. Treasury. We are committed to bringing reinvestment into Bitcoin. Now we have more than 100,000 bitcoins and we have a company.”
“Bitcoin is perfect, gold is imperfect,” Paul said.
Ardoino explains their history with Bitcoin. “We are a Bitcoin-born company,” said. “We are all Bitcoin. Everyone in our company loves Bitcoin.”
El Salvador has been a supporter of Bitcoin, and Paolo mentioned: “We have headquarters in the original Bitcoin country of El Salvador. We support El Salvador.”
In his speech, he announced that the tether became the world’s largest Bitcoin miner.
“We invested $2 billion in energy production, and Bitcoin mining is actually much more than that. We are very shy and say, but I think it’s very realistic, by the end of this year, Tether will be the world’s largest bitcoin miner, even if all publicly traded companies are included.”
Ardoino mentions the new AI systems they make for society, not companies.
“I want my AI broker to have a non-custodial wallet, so I can give him some money. The money is kept by the AI agent, which will work for me. It will not work under the rules and conditions of others,” Ardoino announced. “We recently announced our AI platform. That’s QVAC.”
At the closing ceremony, Ardoino talked about their investment in Rumble and new projects. “We are collaborating on launching a rumble wallet that will be bitcoin first and provide people with some stable coin wallets,” he said.
